About Darius

Darius Frowner is an award winning  musical director, pianist and vocal coach working in the New York City  area.

He frequently music directs regional and touring productions of Broadway shows, and assists Broadway casting directors by accompanying and coaching actors or auditions.

Darius has been a pianist at The Duplex Piano bar for 25 years and hosts the most popular and long running open mic in NYC. It's called Singer Spotlight, Monday and Thursday nights. 

Darius is the musical supervisor for the Performing Arts School at Mayo Center for The Performing Arts, a fully accredited school that serves thousands of children each year.

With the MPAC organization, Darius has led young performers through high profile events like Broadway At The White House, performing with Stephen Schwartz, Kristin Chenoweth on Broadway as well as evenings with Patti LuPone and Brian Stokes Mitchell.

Darius plays and sight reads in many styles for events and parties and has a full network of talented musicians, singers and Broadway actors who appear with him in concert, cabaret or at The Duplex Piano Bar.

Darius has  also appeared in concert many times with Broadway's Norm Lewis, including an evening at Kennedy Center in Washington DC.
